The scale of anxiety and depression sweeping today’s workforce is substantially higher than national population averages suggest. Despite efforts to tackle stigma, employees are still uncomfortable talking about mental health issues with management, HR, or even their peers when they are struggling.
Whether employees take sick leave, paid time off, or power on through, these coping mechanisms come at a cost to your organisation through absenteeism, reduced productivity, and downstream medical claims.
As companies attempt to implement an employee-centric wellness strategy, they are often faced with the challenge of having insufficient evidence on their employees' wellness needs.
We've created a completely anonymous, company-wide digital screening tool: The Employee Mental Health Barometer. This will give you insights into current levels of anxiety and depression within your organisation, without requiring individuals to feel exposed in sharing their personal problems.
In tandem with your unique company link, we will provide an optional NDA for your assurance of company confidentiality before you send the Barometer survey to your employees.
Learn how it works below.
The Wysa Employee Mental Health Barometer can identify what percentage of your employees suffer mild, moderate and severe symptoms depression and anxiety. We will draw on our experience of corporate and clinical mental health support to make recommendations on how best to address these in your organization, in the most cost effective way.
We recommended this clinical screening to take a read on the current levels of severity of anxiety and depression within your organisation. Individuals who indicate higher points in the questionaries are battling higher acuity mental health symptoms. We cannot identify any individuals who are suffering, thanks to our anonymous approach, but you will know whether or not there is a level of need to address.
The GAD-2 is an ultra brief and easy to perform initial screening tool for Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD).
In primary care patients, the GAD-2 has been shown to has high sensitivity and specificity. Designed as a screening tool for generalized anxiety, the GAD-2 can also screen for other diagnoses such as Panic Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, and Post-traumatic Stress Disorder.
These two questions are the level A criterion for the diagnostic criteria to Major Depressive Disorder in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.
It is an efficient way to find undetected patients, identifying those that require additional investigation. The PHQ-2 is well studied and is a clinical reference standard.
